Twitter’s Legacy Blue Checkmarks Are Ending 4/20

Elon Musk has announced that Twitter’s legacy blue checkmarks are ending on April 20, making the paid variety the only option for most users.

Twitter unveiled paid verification for most users and businesses after Musk bought the company. There are also a variety of other checkmarks and badges denoting government entities, media entities, state-run media, and more.

Users wanting the good, old-fashioned, pre-Musk checkmark are in for a disappointment, as that particular one will disappear 4/20.
